While we applaud the anti-spam industry for removing the plethora of unwanted email from many of our mailboxes, from time to time, some legitimate email publications are mistaken as unwanted. This usually results in our mailings bouncing back with requests for us to respond to challenge/response messages to prevent future filtering. However, due to the size of our list, it’s nearly impossible for us handle the volume of such requests.

To that end, please realize that we want our readers to always anticipate and enjoy the valuable information that our publication delivers.

Whitelisting

If you currently use an anti-spam program or service, we ask that you take just a minute or two to add our publication to your “safe” or permitted email sender list. This usually involves simply adding our sending address to your whitelist, safelist, or list of privileged senders. This is commonly known as whitelisting a publication.

If Garagistewine.com Offers is being filtered, try adding niki@garagistewine.com to your address book or contact list. You can also download our contact information as a vCard. If this option is not available, try moving the message to your inbox or forwarding the message to yourself.

If subsequent messages continue to be filtered, call or e-mail your ISP’s technical support and ask how you can be sure to receive all e-mail from niki@garagistewine.com.

DOMAIN: If they need to know the domain we’re mailing from, tell them garagistewine.com.

IP ADDRESS: If they ask for our sending IP address, tell them 67.228.93.250.

Once the status is listed as “arrived,” the order is ready to be shipped or be picked up. If you would like to pick up an order, please use the form on the website. We appreciate 24-hour notice for any pick-up, but we understand if you happen to be in the neighborhood, and we will try our best to accommodate your request.

Once you schedule the pick-up, the status of your “arrived” wines will then be switched to “shipped” on your OARS, which, in this instance, just means it’s been removed from inventory and staged for your appointment. Please allow for some extra time when you are picking up as we want to make sure you receive all available wines in the number you ordered. If you have any question about a pick-up, please email pickup@garagistewine.com.

PLEASE KEEP IN MIND: The specialty foods that we sell have expiration dates so it is important that you pick them up in a timely manner. We suggest, in general, within 90 days of purchase—the sooner the better for highest quality.

While you’re picking up your order, you can now peruse the shelves of our small retail area—unique wine and food finds (with tasting notes) from around the world that can only be purchased in our warehouse. Just passing through Seattle or visiting from out of state? Stop by. You just might stumble upon something special.

Hours: Tuesday-Friday, 11am-6pm
Saturday, 11am-3pm
Closed Sunday and Monday

Our system is updated weekly. If you are a new customer and recently placed an order, it can take up to a week before it will show up in OARS. If you have any questions, please email support@garagistewine.com.

We ship twice a year—once in the spring and once in the fall. We won’t ship during the summer unless you say so, and we will still try and talk you out of that. In the fall, we usually stop shipping to the MIDWEST, EAST COAST, and SOUTH EAST around Thanksgiving as it is just too risky. WEST COAST states have a longer shipping window, but we always check the weather before launching so there are no guarantees. Never hesitate to call us at 888.264.0053 or email melisa@garagistewine.com if you have questions or concerns.

All you have to do is register on this site. Once you do, you will be added to the list.

To all of the skeptics: there is only one list and we don’t play favorites...really!

If you wish to have someone else pick up your wine, you must send a letter of authorization to Sarah (this can be as short as one sentence) in regard to the party you authorize on your behalf.

Due to individual state legislation, certain states do not allow the transport of wine across state lines. As archaic as this is, your ire is best served by writing your state representative to let them know we indeed live in year 2010, not 1810. If you do not see your state listed here, please send Melisa a note to arrange shipping to an appropriate address.

Garagiste cannot ship outside the U.S. We are happy to advise you on arranging your own transport outside the U.S. Please call Melisa at  888.264.0053 or email her.

UPS and FedEx require an adult signature to deliver wine. If no adult over the age of 21 is present, they will make 2 additional attempts to deliver (3 in total).

Our goal is for you to enjoy our wine and food products and to have an overall positive experience. Please see our liberal return policy here.

Garagiste does not have a retail store per se, but we do have a small yet exciting array of wine and food products available for purchase in our warehouse. If you are picking up your order, stick around to browse the retail racks. Our stock is constantly changing, so check back often. It's nearly impossible for us to put this inventory online or relay it via email as it often sells out in a matter of minutes after being placed on the shelves.
